  • Title - Saint Warrior
    Medium- Acrylics on Canvas
    Size - 18" x 30"
    Artist - Divya Razdan🖌️

This painting is a vivid and symbolic depiction of the mystic poet Lal Ded, also known as Lalleshwari, a revered saint of Kashmir. The composition merges spiritual elements with fiery passion and divine energy.

    Description :
At the top of the canvas, we see a serene blue figure of Lord Shiva, eyes closed in meditation, symbolizing the supreme consciousness. His presence is celestial, surrounded by stars and a crescent moon, representing cosmic wisdom and detachment.

Emerging from a blazing aura of flames is the powerful image of Lal Ded. Her hair blends into the fire, symbolizing both her inner strength and the trials she endured. Her face is calm yet intense, eyes gazing forward with fierce determination and divine grace. Her coming out of the flames represent her transformation, purification, and spiritual awakening.

Golden earrings(Dejhor) shaped like temple bells hang from her ears, further emphasizing her spiritual devotion and connection to divine sound and rhythm.

The use of contrasting colors - cool blues for Shiva and fiery reds and oranges for Lal Ded captures the dual nature of spiritual pursuit: calm transcendence and burning passion.

The painting as a whole is a powerful tribute to warrior "Lal Ded’s" journey of self-realization and her profound connection to Shiva consciousness.

Her breaking the patriarchy was the bravest decision she took back in the 14th century, when women were supposed to remain quiet, she stood up for herself and fought for injustice and inequality against the whole society.

For DIVYA RAZDAN she has always been the warrior first and a spiritual poet later.✨
